[Adrestus]

A post template, similar in style to the bio template above. As before, template codes are below the example template, one with the side image, and one without the side image.

In the template code that includes the side image, you can replace the side image with your own character image by finding the link in the template code that has 150px-300px-placeholder.png in it and replacing the link.

Do not remove the link that has transparent-image.png in it, because that is content that allows the side image to appear as coded, with a border, shadows, etc.

[/B]Typically only Fae and those of fae ancestry (e.g. Taoar) will have such affinities. If your character is incapable of having a magical affinity, then you can remove this part.

[B]General info: [/B]Going off the previous example, here I would expand on any other abilities Vyrien has based on that affinity, plus other magics he might engage in, such as Hedge Magic.

[B]Crux: [/B]A [B]crux[/B] is essentially a [B]central point of power, focus, or vulnerability[/B], the thing everything else depends on. Using Vyrien as an example, his High Magic depends a lot on the presence of leylines and nodes of magic around the world, so I'd expand on that. For you it might be a staff or amulet that channels your power, or your power is tied to a particular body part, such as a hand, among other examples. By and large, magic is very ritual-based and dependent on a source, in Medieval.

[B]Weaknesses[/B]: Again, using Vyrien as the example, he has seasonal and environmental weaknesses when it comes to his High Magic. In the depths of winter or anywhere particularly cold, his magic is much stronger than normal (let's say 'normal' is spring/autumn in this example) and in the height of summer/somewhere hot, his High Magic is rather weak.

  Vyrien Idraenar comes by his magical talents quite naturally as a Taoar of half-Winter Fae background, which comes with its own considerable boons and seasonal/environmental weaknesses. As a magic user and non-human, Vyr has done well to live as long as he has, but he remains careful about when and where he practises magic outside of regions that permit his open existence.

  Magical Aptitudes and Weaknesses

  Magical Aptitude(s): An aptitude is a natural affinity, e.g. the Half-Winter Fae Mage Vyrien Idraenar has an aptitude for High Magic in the domain of Ice, so I would put High Magic - Ice. Typically only Fae and those of fae ancestry (e.g. Taoar) will have such affinities. If your character is incapable of having a magical affinity, then you can remove this part.
  
  General info: Going off the previous example, here I would expand on any other abilities Vyrien has based on that affinity, plus other magics he might engage in, such as Hedge Magic.
  
  Crux: A crux is essentially a central point of power, focus, or vulnerability, the thing everything else depends on. Using Vyrien as an example, his High Magic depends a lot on the presence of leylines and nodes of magic around the world, so I'd expand on that. For you it might be a staff or amulet that channels your power, or your power is tied to a particular body part, such as a hand, among other examples. By and large, magic is very ritual-based and dependent on a source, in Medieval.
  
  Weaknesses: Again, using Vyrien as the example, he has seasonal and environmental weaknesses when it comes to his High Magic. In the depths of winter or anywhere particularly cold, his magic is much stronger than normal (let's say 'normal' is spring/autumn in this example) and in the height of summer/somewhere hot, his High Magic is rather weak.
