APPEARANCEÞórhalla's physique is very typical in her entire bloodline. She was the first where these appeared. The woman is very tall, it can almost be said to be tall compared to an average man, and this is coupled with a rather light weight. And these are complemented by the airy, ethereal physique and body structure. The woman has very long, ankle-length, luxuriant black hair with a reddish tinge. Her eyes are green and red in colour. They were once green, but over the centuries that all changed.
She typically wears expensive and elegant clothes, but they are always traditional and Nordic. She wears pants just like she wears a skirt or a dress. The colour of her clothes is usually black-green-green, with which she often wears fur as well. In addition, her clothes are sometimes decorated with grey-blue-green or grey-blue-silver colours. Ancient Sloannar and Spåjǫrðian motifs can be seen on clothes and cloaks, but they are often supplemented with runes. She often wears various silver or green jewellery, which are all Nordic style.
For she is Nordic and Viking, Halla is never defenceless, she always carries a weapon with her. This is usually an ornate, runic dagger, but in case she leaves her fortress, she always has a sword with her. What may also be interesting is that the Witch Queen is known to be nearly four hundred years old, but she still looks very young, a woman in her mid-twenties, and has a strange magical aura surrounding her (details below).

STRENGTHSPatient: It's probably no surprise that someone who has lived nearly four hundred years is quite patient. For Halla, having to wait for something or someone is not too much of a problem. True, she also perceives the passage of time differently than "ordinary mortals". If she is lucky, she will have many more centuries to live. She has plenty of time, patience pays off and this woman has already gained a lot from her patience during her long life.
Ambitious: She was a gentle and quiet girl at the beginning of her life, but when she was literally thrown out of Sloanugr because of her magical powers and forced to marry to the King of Spåjǫrð, that changed because of the humiliation and treatment. Halla turned into an impetuous, unscrupulous, harsh and ambitious woman. Already then she decided and swore that one day she would return to Sloan, unite all the northern tribes and Viking culture under her own banner and they would become the greatest power on Gaia.
Shield Maiden: Like all northerners in general, Halla received combat training, thanks to which she is able to defend herself. Although a woman's main weapon is her words (not magic, not even a sword and shield), if necessary, she knows how to defend herself with weapons. And because of her long life, she has more combat experience. She mostly favours the shield and sword duel, and her second favourite weapon is the spear. Or she just prefers the simple poisoned dagger, in close combat, if she needs to surprise her opponent.
Mystic: Halla is a powerful magic user, one of, if not the most powerful magic user in the North. Her abilities make her a very powerful and powerful woman, which makes many people fear her. Especially among superstitious northerners. However, she owes her very long life to this innate heritage. If she's lucky, she might be able to live that long again.
WEAKNESSESParanoid: As is often the case with very powerful and powerful people, Halla is paranoid. This fact has saved her life in countless cases, but it also makes her extremely lonely and brittle. She cannot trust anyone; she is suspicious of everyone and assumes the worst about them. Her long life experience confirms this, and as a result she rarely leaves her palace, or if she does, it is with proper precautions or through her magical powers.
Callous: Her ambitions and partly her paranoia contribute to the fact that she is very cold. She does not allow any feelings to influence her, and often despises others and behaves scornfully. The fate of others, but often even the fate of her own family, leaves her completely cold as long as her bloodline survives. She can sacrifice anything for her own goals and destroys or kills others without any feelings. This is well known about her, so anyone only turns to her for help when they have to and there is no other option.
Sadistic: For a person who is almost four hundred years old, there are few things that can be fun anymore. One of them is if it can cause pain to others. Halla is sadistic and likes to torture her opponents and enemies in extreme ways. It's something that can even overcome her paranoia. She often personally carries out the executions, according to legends she also likes to drink the blood of her victims to draw strength from it.
Arrogant: Due to her age, influence, power and rank, she is arrogant and pompous. Some people try to say that the woman is just determined, but this is far beyond that level. She treats no one as her equal, perhaps a few individuals such as the Dread Emperor, but she treats everyone else as a lower form of existence and sees them only as tools, assets to be used. It's really not very pleasant to talk or negotiate with the woman and she often makes more and more enemies because of this.
NEUTRALVengeful: It can be an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time, it is a well-known fact about the woman that she is quite vindictive. Especially when an atrocity befalls her house or clan. She will not rest until the criminal pays for their actions. An eye for an eye. This fact can be quite discouraging to others, however, if it does happen, she will not rest until she catches the culprits, she is ready to devote all her assets and resources to it.
Silver Tongue: Like many aristocrats and nobles, Halla has honed her persuasive abilities to perfection. She needs this, since a ruler, even in northern societies, must be diplomatic and charismatic if she wants to convince others. With this ability, she is excellent at insulting others in such a way that they thank her for the compliment they receive from the woman. She has caused many wars with this trait, or just avoided it. Many believe that a woman's words are her true weapon, not her magic or her blade.
Witch: A curse and a blessing at the same time. A curse, as she is not considered a Völva due to her abilities, i.e. almost all northerners fear her due to her magical abilities. At home in Spåjǫrð, she even has the rank of high priestess and leads the Hreystimaðr and Tveir Feður Muninsvegr religion. This fact can simultaneously cause fear, admiration, or respect in others. How positive or negative this is depends on the situation and the person.
Seducer: Another thing is what a four-hundred-year-old woman can do when she is bored. Halla really likes to play and conquer. It can be a real war, or just when she wants to get someone for herself, in any sense. She often uses her beauty and charm to get what she wants. With this, she can win at the same time, but also gain many enemies. For Halla, it doesn't matter if someone is male or female, under her longevity, gender doesn't really matter anymore. She flirts or seduces women as well as she is doing with the men.

SKILLS / ABILITIESÞórhalla acquired a great deal of knowledge and practice due to her long life. She has a vast knowledge of both worldly and magical lore. She knows countless languages, in which she can speak, write and read. She has vast experience with the shadow games and she is an excellent ruler and diplomat. Her knowledge is extremely diverse and multifaceted. Perhaps it is not so surprising that she is said to be one of the most educated people today, which would not be surprising, since she lives a very long life.

SPECIAL CAPABILITIESFagr Þrymja: Beautiful lie; This is partly her natural radiance and partly the manifestation of her magical ability. Others might say that it is caused by pheromones, the point is that both men and women will find Halla attractive. This is purely a physical attraction, not a mental one, and it can be easily overcome with willpower if someone wants to fight against these desires. With this endowment and ability, the woman may easily arouse sympathy in others and arouse jealousy, of course. It has the greatest effect on the weak-willed, and in the event that her magical abilities are suppressed for some reason, she will lose this ability for that time as well.
Blóðdrykkyumaðr: Blood drinker; there are many legends about the woman quenching her thirst with the blood of her enemies, bathing in the blood of others, or even being able to take over the abilities of others by drinking their blood. This is not entirely true, her ability is quite different. If she tastes someone's blood, she can determine with great accuracy how strong their magical abilities are, and later she will be able to find those from whose blood she drank, or tell if different people are related to each other (she must taste all affected people's blood). After several sips of blood, she may be able to see the target's strong memories, the more she drinks, the more she can learn. Last but not least, she can sense her own bloodline through the smell of blood and tell if someone is her descendant (i.e. she doesn't even have to drink the blood of the target). This doesn't work with other bloodlines, just with hers, for she is closely tied to her own.
Details can be seen below in the Magical Magnitude area.
MAGICAL MAGNITUDE General Information: Halla's abilities and powers are legendary within Spåjǫrð or the entire North, possible she is the oldest human woman in the north. She is exactly the person from whom a total of one is born per generation, at least in general. The woman's abilities are quite diverse, the strength of her magic is one of the reasons why she is now almost four hundred years old, and if she's lucky, she can live that long again. Among her magic, there are some that go beyond just being a Völva, that is, even the northerners know that some of her abilities were probably not only gifts from the Sky Father and Svindlari or Svikahrappur, but more than that. Her abilities include defensive, offensive and support magic as well. The woman is extremely resourceful, creative and has had many opportunities to practise during her long life, so she can create very creative and unique spells within the spheres she has control over. For most spells, despite her abilities, she also needs to concentrate, in many cases maintaining the spell. In other cases, she has to use components, or just utter words, or draw runes in the air, on an object, on a person, or on the ground. Thus, she is also bound by the disadvantages of magic.
Crux and Weaknesses: Like all magic users, Þórhalla is suffered by these "curses." Her real name, which she got from her father, is Eldrandi, which means Fire Spirit, referring to her fire abilities. She also needs time, concentration, spoken words, hand gestures for spells. If she loses her tongue, her hands, she may never be able to cast spells again. If others say her original name, she can lose her magical abilities for hours or even days. Of course, her abilities are also weakened if she is sick or injured for some reason, and it is more difficult for her to cast and conjure spells. The same is true for the period when the woman is pregnant. If she is pregnant and casts spells, she has a very good chance of losing her child, this is especially true for shapeshifting abilities, if she uses shapeshifting while pregnant, she is guaranteed to miscarry immediately. She must constantly drain life force from others in order to stay alive and retain her youth. If she is not able to do this, she begins to age much faster than ordinary mortals. She can't even cast spells during pregnancy, because the energies and life forces used at this time are not from her own body, but from her child's and leads to the child's death. Not to mention the fact that despite her abilities, she is merely a mortal, so she can be killed in the same ways as anyone else, and of course she can die of diseases or illnesses. After all, there are many things that can be fatal and deadly even to a powerful witch.
MAGIC AND SPELLReiði Bálgrimms: Wrath of Bálgrimm; Halla's strongest abilities include manipulating, creating, and controlling fire. The fire she creates does not hurt her, but it has the same effect on others as a normal fire. She can create fire nearby or just away, heat objects with it, by touch, or if the object is further away, with maintained magic. She is able to create destructive spells as well, or just useful skills like a torch, lantern, or just a campfire on cold nights which are "never" extinguished. Its use depends mostly on her creativity, so many times she is summoning and creating smaller or larger fire creatures to entertain others, or to use as battle/combat beasts.
Sýnir himinföðursins: Visions of the Sky Father; One of Halla's abilities, which ones are really similar to the Völva's abilities. This gives her visions, dreams of the future, present and past, what happened, what happens and what will happen in Sloan or Spåjǫrð, mostly in Spåjǫrð. These visions are usually dreamlike, and although they usually contain a lot of truth, the woman has no power over time, so these events can change. Of course, sometimes, it is happened what she sees or dreams of will happen exactly that way. She has no power over these dreams and visions, they can appear at any night or in any situation. Although, if she meditates or concentrates, it is easier. It includes the fact that she is able to see the future of a specific person with words and ritual, but these are even more obscure and mystical. Last but not least, Sky Father is a blessing for being able to anticipate, feel the impending natural changes, disasters, storms, earthquakes, etc. The events of the past are always accurate, the present is almost accurate, the future is obscure.
Ráðabrugg Svikahrapps: Intrigue of Svikahrappur; A kind of combination of astral, mental magic. With this ability, Halla is able to see and feel the souls of others, she can understand them much more easily. She can calm animals and people, and the people might see her as attractive. This may also allow her to tell or feel if someone is lying (in the case of PC / NPC the consent of the PC / NPC always requires it). The actual part of the ability is the ability to trick or influence others. With the same ability she can look into the minds of others, hear their thoughts, she is able to telepathically control others (in the case of PC / NPC the consent of the PC / NPC always requires it). She can gain much more influence over weak-willed individuals than over strong-willed ones. Very strong-willed persons can completely and easily shake off the woman's power (PCs, strong NPCs. She is able to talk to them in the "ghost language" and they can respond, or she can create illusions to protect herself and scare others. In addition, she can modify memories, thoughts and feelings, and give telepathic commands. It can strengthen or weaken feelings, desires, and awaken new thoughts in others. She may even be able to create lifelike illusions, although those with a strong character can see through this.
Skuggi Brellunnar: Shadow of the Trickster; this also belongs to the previous one, although it can be listed separately. She is able to create an astral projection (illusion) of herself and appear in distant places, thus spying on those places or talking to others. This requires continuous concentration and meditation, during which she is unable to protect herself, because she does not perceive what is happening around her, only what is happening at the point of projection. The astral projection is in the form of a ghost, it cannot physically affect the world and it is not possible to cast spells through it. Although the illusion seems real, it is not. If someone strikes it with magic or a magical object, attacks the illusion, the astral projection is interrupted, as is the case with any attack on the physical body.
Hvísl Bálgrimms: Bálgrimm's Whispers; Although she is unable to resurrect the dead, that does not mean that she cannot reach the world beyond the Veil, the underworld. Souls usually do not leave immediately, or there are souls which are trapped in the living world, or there are returning souls, spirits, like the disir, draugr, and other creatures. With this magic, Halla is able to reach out to these souls, spirits, and talk to them. This is usually exhausted through guidance, advice, and help. She may be able to summon these souls and send them back to their own realm. The weaker a soul is, the easier it is. She may be able to control these souls, but she cannot ask or instruct them to do anything contrary to the character of the soul. A helper spirit will never kill or hurt others, not even tell secrets about someone, if that is hurt to someone. Creatures with only animal intelligence are easy to control or send them back to their own dead domain. But the stronger such a being, the more ineffective the ability (in the case of PC / NPC the consent of the PC / NPC always requires). Halla can animate dead bodies and control and command them. These are just soulless bodies, skeletons that can only carry out the orders given to them by Halla, they are incapable of thinking. Also, she is able to absorb the life force of others and thus keep herself young.
Blessun feðranna tveggja: Blessing of the Two Fathers; This actually belongs to the previous groups, but it may be worth mentioning it separately for the simplicity. She can bless others, share visions, dreams with them, or bless them by finding their way in the mountains, to find the animals, and so on. She may be able to temporarily quench the pain in others so that the warrior can continue to fight, or just intensify or reduce anger or any other emotions in them. She is able to make runes, draw and engrave them on objects, thus endowing them with more or less power. To create "compasses" so that the user can find their destination, their way. She has to do most of the things herself, but magic items can also do "tricks" for others too.
Blóð Ysmars: Blood of Ysmar; it was partly because of these abilities that Sloan developed a fear of her at the time. Necromancy and blood magic were the skills that made her more than just a Völva. She can do countless things with blood. If she pours it into a bowl, she is able to see into the distance after the magic words, she is able to trace with the blood the person whose blood she is using for the spell. Ironically, she can heal herself or others with blood magic. It can make the blood coagulate, the wound heal faster, or the opposite, so that it doesn't clot. If she has someone else's blood, she can use their senses from vast distances (it's important to note that she can't control them, just use them).
Bragðarefur: Trick of tricks; it is essentially a familiar, or golem. Halla can create a copy of herself into which she puts a small piece of her life force/soul. The woman can control this copy, but it can also act completely independently. She acts, speaks and reacts just like the witch queen. However, it has one huge drawback, the copy is unable to cast spells, however, it definitely feels like a magical item/person. This is how Halla usually leaves her fortress/palace due to her paranoia. The copy can be killed just like any average person. In any case, its death causes severe physical and mental pain for the woman and leaves her completely defenceless for hours at a time. When the copy dies, the soul piece returns to the woman, but the life force is lost. She can cancel the copy at any time, in which case there is no loss. The death of the copy has to pass days to create a new one. It is important to note that only one copy can exist at a time and creating one takes several hours of ritual.
Lygarnar: Lie of lies; Halla's abilities include shape-shifting. She is able to change the colour of her hair, skin, and eyes, she is able to change into a man if necessary, or to take on some animal form. Magic is easiest when she assumes a form similar to herself. The more different the shape, the magic is more energy and time it takes. It can take weeks or even months to prepare the magic, or the related potions. That way she won't be able to use this during combat. If the woman only changes her eye colour or hair colour, it will be there very quickly, as it is only a trick. More serious shape-shifting, perfect adoption of another person's shape, can take days or weeks.
Bölvun Nornadrottningarinnar: Curse of the Witch Queen; Halla can create not only blessings, but also curses. She is able to make hex bags, cursed objects, which if she hides near someone, she can use them to hurt and curse her victim. Halla is capable of causing damage to others, afflicting others with diseases. It's not quite a curse, but it can cause pregnant women to miscarry (she used it on herself more than once as well). Many consider this a blessing and ask her voluntarily. The various curses and diseases also depend on her creativity, but she prefers to use ones that make someone stutter while speaking or are unable to speak. Most curses are not deadly, but rather unpleasant and long-lasting. Sure, she can kill others with them, especially cursebags and bloody, foul curses, but she prefers to torture her victims for a long time rather than kill them outright or immediately. She never used witchcraft to kill quickly, she had other methods for that. The preparation of the hexbag required for the killing curses can also take weeks or months.

Due to her long life, she has many descendants. They have one thing in common, those who are born within reach for her, the woman examines and kills any offspring, descendants who would be magic users, to protect her own influence and position.

BIOGRAPHYÞórhalla was born some four hundred years ago in Sloanugr, to the ruling family and bloodline of the time. The bloodline traces itself to Bálgrimm, the Raiderking. Whether that's true or not is a very good question, but it probably is. Bálgrimm was the first High King and his family was the first bloodline to hold the title of High King or High Queen. In the North, even at the time when Halla was born, they were afraid of magic wielders and did not like magic. Although the woman was a help to her, so to speak, she was the first-born child of the then High King from his wife, so she was a legitimate child and heir.
According to the legends, which the woman never denied or confirmed, it is believed that her magical abilities appeared at a very young age. Völva had been in the family before, so this could be expected, but no one really thought or expected how great powers the little girl would have. As with any normal Sloannar child, she was taught to fight, just as the Vaults taught her to use magic. Mainly the girl's mother. Everything was as fine as possible until her teenage years, when the problems started to appear, which later led to the fact that the woman had not been in Sloan for the last nearly four hundred years.
Necromancy is another thing, if someone understands it, after all, Bálgrimm is considered the god of death by religion, so it shouldn't be that surprising if one of his descendants has such powers. At least, they were still able to explain this. The real problem was that on the day the young girl became a woman, her abilities related to blood also appeared. Blood magic could no longer be seen as a gift from Lagsmaðar or the Sky Father. The High King at the time, Asvald Eldgrimson, had two choices. He will kill his own daughter and heir, or banish/exile her from Sloan and get her to live elsewhere.
Asvald didn't want to kill his own daughter, and luckily he had good diplomatic skills, so he started negotiations with different countries. Magic is feared in many bad places in the north, so he was rejected by most places, but in the end it was the king of Spåjǫrð who offered him to marry the girl, who happened to be his distant relative. There wasn't really any other choice, so this contract was born. At that time, the girl was quite quiet and shy, she did not really understand what was happening to her and why. A few weeks later, when summer arrived in Sloan, Halla set sail for Spåjǫrð. She hasn't returned home since.
The conditions in Spåjǫrð were not at all like those at home. They were rude to her, cruel. And Halla's character gradually distorted and changed. She was used to being a free person who could do as she pleased, the daughter of a High King. However, nobody cared here. For years, she put up with humiliation, being hurt. Until finally, one day after the birth of her second child, when her husband was drunkenly trying to assert his marital rights, the young girl killed the king of Spåjǫrð and proclaimed herself queen. Over the years, she had gained many allies, which she was now putting to good use, many of them standing on her side against the cruel and sadistic late king.
As usual, a civil war ensued, where Halla eventually won, wiping out her husband's entire clan and bloodline, leaving only her. The woman participates in battles as a battle mage, and it was at this time that the name and title Witch Queen was born. The woman hated her own husband so much that she killed the children born to him so that bloodline would die out completely. She personally killed hundreds of people, torturing them to death because they were members of the bloodline. In these years, many legends were born about the woman, many of them still exist today, nearly four hundred years later.
Other than that, she proved to be a fairly fair and good ruler. Halla is always just and fair with those who were on her side or did not betray her. She never made an exception with anyone, she kept everyone equally close or even far away from her. She would not allow any clan to profit from their supposed closeness to the queen. She was also fair when distributing the spoils of the raids, everyone received equally from them. She didn't take any more for herself either. Thanks to these, despite being afraid of her, most people also respected her.
In the following decades, the woman began to build her intelligence network that first covered all of Spåjǫrð, then continued to cover all of Gaia. This became Nite, which exists to this day and is currently run by @Ingrid Hyrrokkin. Over the centuries, she had countless children, all of whom she killed, those born with magic, only a few survived, but there were still plenty of non-magical offspring. Because she was a strong-handed ruler and many countries did not dare to risk Spåjǫrð raiding against them, the woman's children, grandchildren, and descendants reached all countries, provinces and had descendants everywhere in the present. But that's not really surprising.
During her reign, Spåjǫrð flourished throughout, maintaining his territories and even gaining close proximity to Sloanugr. Countless northern regions paid the woman and still pay tribute to keep Spåjǫrð from attacking them. The woman and the Queendom have the same attitude towards magic as most of the northern peoples, although they are a bit more accepting. They don't search for those who are sensitive to magic, and if someone doesn't openly use their magic, which is more than a Völva is allowed, then they leave them alone and don't pursue them. But if it turns out that this power is more, then that person will be banished/exiled or executed in the same way.
Among the woman's descendants and relatives, three people who are interesting at the moment are @Ingrid Hyrrokkin, who is also the leader of Nite and the heiress to the throne of Spåjǫrð. @Lilianna Mielżyński, who is the heiress of the Przeklęty Barony and Schwarzheim. And someone else that even she doesn't know about. @Svanhild Hyrrokkin. Halla's previous heir to the throne married a Völva who became pregnant during the last year of Skorr's reign. Since there was a good chance that the child would also be sensitive to magic, the couple fled to Sloanugr. When the coup broke out, the Jarlmoot killed Spåjǫrð's heir to the throne, who was under Skorr's protection, and allegedly killed his wife. This was not true, the woman survived and Svanhild was born.
Over the long centuries, the woman had never really cared about Sloanugr being hers, she hated the place, though her vanity dictated that she try to claim it. Maybe soon, although she had time to wait until that place was her.
