The Fallen Enclave

The Fallen Enclave is a collection of scattered tribes of the Dre Fæmora and other fallen entities who fight for their very survival in a world that seeks to deny their existence. Their home is in the far east, until the dawn falls upon the age of man.

Hierarchy
Few outside of the world of Fae-kind have even heard of 'The Fallen Enclave'. While to outsiders, the Enclave's structure may appear as little more than despotism, it is more nuanced and developed than one might expect. One cannot begin to analyze the Enclave's structure without identifying the major factions and segments within it.

Races of the Enclave

Dre Fæmora: Easily considered to be the foremost race within the Enclave, the Dre Fæmora have long been organized in disparate and scattered clans throughout the eastern provinces, ranging in size and capability. Each clan is led by a central figure known as the Archon, who traditionally is viewed as the most formidable and capable figure within the clan; be they shaman, warrior, or otherwise. Rarely have they been able to unify under common cause, yet the Fallen Enclave has proven to be an exception within the thousands of years of their history as a people. In recent history, the Dre Fæmoran people have begun to gather to the banner of the Archon of the Fallen Sons clan, a charismatic figure known as Særoth mol'Corrav, or 'Særoth the Fallen'.

Dre Monkkol: Corrupted via malevolent and ancient darkness, the Dre Monkkol were once men who were turned into the servants of darkness either by force, or willingly via dark pacts forged with the unknowable entities of the void. At one point, they formed the legions of armies who marched under the sway of darkness in the age following the Dominion, but had fallen into obscurity over the eras that followed... up until recently. While many thought they were lost to myth and bygone eras, the Dre Monkkol were merely slumbering - lying dormant until the voices of their malign patrons stirred them from their deep sleep. Now, they march under the banner of the Fallen Enclave, with one purpose forefront in their minds - the destruction of the world of men.

Moroz-Blizn: Large and intimidating, the Moroz-Blizn are yet another subrace of the Fae people, known for wandering and raiding the frozen provinces of the North East. Tribal and savage in demeanor, the Moroz are often viewed as lesser in intellect, but peerless in martial prowess. While they have never unified together as a people similar to their Dre Fæmora cousins, the Ice Maw Tribe has found common cause with the Enclave in joining their strength in a greater hunt against the world of man. While the clan is few in number, the massive size of its members makes them the perfect shock troops of the Enclave's burgeoning army.

Enclave Structure

While the Enclave is fairly diverse as noted above, a cohesive and unified structure has taken shape to replace the fragmented confederation that once stood.

The Forsaken form the bottom tier of Enclave society - those who are looked upon with a passive level of attention at best; or outright disgust and derision at the worst. Among those who fall into this tier are the myriad of mindless, base foot soldiers of the Dre Monkkol - those who were forcibly dedicated into the service of Lo'vaioth, as well as the thousands of slaves who spend the remainder of their lives set to work doing menial tasks, with some ultimately being sacrificed so as to repay the blood-debt all the Dre Fæmora are subject to.

The Forsworn is a tier within the Enclave's structure that possesses a double meaning, for it applies both to the 'rank and file' members of the Fae-kin clans, as well as to those who have 'forsworn' or left the allegiances of society at large and joined cause with the Enclave. This title has been often associated with those of the Dre Fæmora for thousands of years, largely due to the fact they universally regard themselves as the forsworn of society; for they had to leave behind the old ways as the Fae-kin of old and forge for themselves a new beginning. For the elevated of the Dre Monkkol, and other constituent peoples who willingly join cause with the Enclave - they are regarded as Forsworn because they 'forswore their former way of life' willingly, and made the decision to join the cause of the Fallen to harken a new age upon the world at large.

The Fallen are the leaders of the Enclave, with the name itself derived from the clan of Saeroth himself - 'The Fallen Sons'. While many of 'The Fallen' are from that clan, Archons from whatever clans form common cause with the Fallen Sons become de-facto members of the clan within the framework of the Fallen Enclave. A ceremony is performed in which they swear fealty to Lo'vaioth and his chosen servant - Saeroth himself. Archons, mystics, and those specifically chosen for ascension in Enclave society all stand as the foremost of the Enclave - as the Fallen Sons who seek to elevate all, and bring low the world of man.

Cult of Lo'vaioth

The pact forged between the Dre Fæmora and their dark patron, known as 'The Blood Pact' - is a very real phenomenon shrouded in mystery and a mixture of both deference and resentment on the part of the Dre Fæmora themselves as a people. Once making their wholesale oath to their ancient patron, they were scattered across the known world like stray grains of sand carried by a strong wind. With this scattering of a once unified collective of survivors and outcasts, and as the passage of time ravaged them all - whatever knowledge they possessed of this dark patron would be either lost, or shrouded in confusion as dozens of various retellings have been embellished upon across the hundreds of clans spread abroad. While this entity's true nature and status is impossible to truly know, to the outside world, some believe this 'dark entity' is nothing more than folktale meant to either excuse the actions of the Fae marauders who pillage their towns and ravage their people, or to exert soft power over the Dark Fae themselves. Others believe this dark patron is really a powerful mage or collection of mages, who in turn use their arcane arts to put forth an illusion of an unknowable and all powerful entity.

Within Dre Fæmora society, the existence of this dark entity is undisputed, but his nature and motivation diverges greatly. Some clans hardly care about the specifics of their dark patron, and simply view their relationship with him as but a fact of life, and one that requires attention so as to prolong their existence. Others believe him to be a mocking demon who seeks to undermine and punish the Fae-kin in a sick game meant to please his base and perverse desires. Still others worship, revere, or fear this dark entity as a malign deity, with multiple cults and dogmas circulating about that vary from clan to clan. To the people of the 'Fallen Sons' clan, and the Fallen Enclave at large, the entity's existence is not just specific and established; it has given them a meaning not seen amongst the Dre Fæmora for thousands of years. The Cult of Lo'vaioth was established some 2,000 years ago as the Fallen Sons clan branched off from a larger community of Dre Fæmora. Their leader at the time was an eldritch Shaman who practiced a hybrid school of magic that carried elements of Brush and Deep theories.

This shaman (who is unnamed in the clan's verbal retellings of the tale), taught his people that Lo'vaioth was not simply a demon of the darkness above, but instead a fallen patron who looked upon the Fae-folk as his fallen sons and daughters. For whatever unknown purpose, Lo'vaioth 'adopted' the fallen sons of the Fae, and gifted them with his blessings so as to aid in their survival. While exacting a dark toll upon them all, said demand was meant to push the Dre Fæmora to arrest that toll - not from among each other, but from the world of man itself. While the Dre Fæmora have always been rumored to kidnap villagers from the border regions of man for their own bloody rituals to their dark patron, practitioners of this Cult in particular would spark a notable increase in the severity and frequency of these raids. To the Fallen Sons of Lo'vaioth, this toll was not simply a way to save their own lives - but it was a way to secure their future destiny in the arms of their unseen father.

Today, the Cult of Lo'vaioth has seen a renewal in its purpose, and a resurgence as its steady spread has begun overtaking the clans of the Dre Fæmora. Dark whispers are increasing in to the far east of the known world as the clans gather under the banner of Lo'vaioth, and the one recognized as his chosen voice amongst his fallen sons and daughters
