24 Years ago - After over a century of raids and skirmishes, the High King (Skorr Imarrson) of Sloanugr (in blue) led a Nordur (Our Norse / Viking) coalition to invade the Isles. They ravaged the land and on the cusp of victory, the great king Skorr was betrayed. Stabbed in the back by his trusted Jarls who sought to divide his kingdom amongst themselves. Without Skorr's leadership the coalition fell and were driven out of the Isles by a unified force of the petty Alblish kingdoms. They were banished back to Nordurlond and left High King Skorr's body to rot in the dirt, also leaving the sacred Bone Crown of High Kings left in Albion.
The Jarlmoot as they were now known, returned home and seized power.
Killing all those loyal to the former High King and attempting to purge the bloodline of House Vargr (Skorr's lineage). Many of which escaped into obscurity
Now
The Skorrsons reunited into adulthood and rallied those still loyal to their banners, (our faction) seizing their ancestral home of Wulfhavn from the Jarlmoot. They wage a civil war of which leads to a brutal winter.
They temporarily have made a ceasefire after witnessing the atrocities of the Curians to the South and rallied all of the pagans north into a single GREAT HEATHEN ARMY which consequently sacked the capital of Merelais and now moves to bring justice to the Curians of the Isles and claim vengeance for Skorr.
Bring home the Bone Crown, bring home our long dead High King Skorr. We cannot name a new king without it!
