Rime Hawk / Winters Night / Azure Phoenix
The Rime Hawk are aspects of Winter and Stasis, that are closely associated with their fire counterparts. They typically appear as small hawks, with an azure plumage. They prefer to roost in artic and cold desert environments. Their humanoid form features pale skin, azure vestigial wings, and hawkish features. Their presence in an environment will gradually reduce local temperatures, leading to permafrost, and blizzards. They favour Lawful Alignments. They are carnivores.
Rime Hawks are loyal and steadfast creatures, earning their favour is usually done through feats that venerates these principles. They are usually skilled martial warriors and may join with such adventurers for a time, especially if the individual is facing insurmountable odds.
Simurgh / Autumn Twilight / Cloud Phoenix
Simurgh typically appear as Water Fowl, with bright blue and dark green feathers. As aspects of water, they tend to invite heavy persistent rainfall, and make their habitats in the depths of oceans and lakes and are uniquely capable of water breathing. Their humanoid forms tend to feature the usual traits, with vestigial wings, and softer humanoid features, their hair tends to be wavy or weed-like. They favour a Chaotic Alignment. They are primarily herbivores.
Interactions with these creatures rarely end badly, they enjoy culture and conversation and a sufficiently intriguing story or performance is usually enough to persuade these Fae entities to move on. Occasionally, a Simurgh may attach itself to an individual to whom they become a sort of artistic patron and mentor.
Impundulu / Spring Dawning / Thunder Bird
Impundulu are considered by scholars to be one of the most dangerous species of Phoenix. Impundulu are inherently evil creatures, capable of commanding the power of lightning. Unlike their peers, Impundulu do not possess a humanoid form, instead being able to disguise themselves as common, sometimes slightly larger ravens. Their wings are dark and blood-speckled, with milky eyes, and long jagged beaks.
Impundulu feed on the souls of their victims, but first they seek to ripen the spirit of mortals, coming to them in times of distress or great need, offering their services and forging a pact. Once the pact is forged, the individual is imbued with great power, but is cursed to forever suffer misfortune. Efforts for revenge leading to tragedy, the pursuit of wealth inevitably leading to financial ruin and so on, in effect, the source of their rise to power, fame, and wealth is also the source of their suffering.
The Impundulu will serve their Masters faithfully, keeping up appearances and gradually eroding the individuals morals, it will guide them to ever greater extremes, a process the Impundulu simply deems to be the ripen of fruit, until finally death claims them and when it does the Impundulu claims their soul and feasts upon it. Surprisingly, Impundulu target good natured people, people who would normally perceive them for what they are, but have become desperate enough to accept their aid. This is simply because corrupted good souls are more nutritious for Impundulu, and particularly potent ones might facilitate to birth of another Impundulu.
