Biography:

Adwin, King of Albion, rose not from ancient certainty but from a fractured land. The Isles he now rules were once divided among rival fiefs, their lords bound by little more than shifting allegiance and old grievance. Through a mixture of war, negotiation, and careful statecraft, Adwin brought these territories under a single crown. His unification was neither swift nor bloodless, but it was decisive, forged through discipline rather than spectacle, and sustained by a firm, pragmatic rule that prioritised stability over ambition.

His authority, however, is not absolute. Adwin rules with the consent of a council of lords, a witan of sorts, whose collective voice binds the crown to the will of the realm's nobility. His strength lies as much in maintaining their support as it does in command, navigating competing interests with measured judgement and restraint.

His reign has since been defined by consolidation. Turning inward, Adwin strengthened Albion's borders, rebuilt its centres of power, and established Wytanburh as a capital fit for a unified realm. In an age of widening conflict across Gaia, his measured isolation secured peace at home, even as greater powers strained against one another abroad.

At the heart of his rule stands his family. His marriage to Queen Glesni is one of genuine affection and trust, a rare foundation in a world where such unions are often political. Their bond endured the trials of war and long separation, and remains a quiet pillar of his kingship. Their children reflect both duty and future promise: Princess Brytha, the eldest, increasingly present in matters of diplomacy; Princess Adelwine, the younger, whose place within the court continues to take shape; and Prince Coenred, his heir, who governs in his stead when required alongside his wife, Gisele, as he learns the weight of the crown he will one day inherit.

Adwin is a king shaped by necessity. His authority does not rest on myth or divine claim but on what he has built, balanced, and held together.
